I'm having a tough time understanding the directions on the pattern. The skirt seems huge and I'm wondering if it is supposed to be one piece of 36 x 11 for the main and one of the 13 x 36 for the underskirt for view D. If anyone can offer any clarification I would REALLY appreciate it.
I just bought two kits at Houston. The directions are for beginners?!? I've been sewing for 40+ years and the waistband (E)is goofy. Step 6, finish top edge and set aside. Do we clip the corners and turn right side out? I now have a flat waistband? not circular. I'm really confused.
First of all I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you don't mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Thanks!
Here is the one I made:
